Visit

Kellie Castle, where the story of art began for the Lorimers, restored by Prof. James Lorimer and his wife Hannah, holds work by the whole family. Both John Henry Lorimer and Hew Lorimer’s studios remain open. The castle can be visited from the Spring and the Gardens can be enjoyed all year round.

Sir Robert Stodart Lorimer was an extraordinarily prolific architect who worked all over Britain and completed war memorials all over the world. Several of John Henry Lorimer's paintings make up the permanent display of various galleries, while Hew Lorimer's architectural and monumental sculpture can be seen throughout Scotland.
